Myotherapy
Myotherapy (myo-muscle, therapy-treatment) Massage is a newly discovered soft-tissue therapy used in the physical diagnosis, treatment and management of muscular disorders, which affects the integrity of human movement. The skeletal muscles are the largest single organ of the human body and are very vulnerable to injury. Modalities of deep soft tissue massage, passive stretching, corrective exercises, electrical stimulation, myofascial trigger point acupuncture (dry needling) and patients' education are employed in Myotherapy Massage Treatment. Dr. Sherman Gu
Dr. Gu has over 35 years of clinical experience. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy, Masters Degree in Applied Science, and more.
Dr. Gu completed his postgraduate study at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Here, he is currently engaged in Chinese medicine teaching and research. He also works as a Clinical Associate in the same university and is backed by more than 35 years of clinical experience.
