2. Does acupuncture hurt? We use high quality needles with guide tubes to minimise the pain when the needles are inserted through the skin.
3. Is acupuncture safe?Acupuncture is safe if it is performed by competent, qualified and registered acupuncturists.
4. Does acupuncture have side effects?The possible side effects of acupuncture include bleeding, bruising, and soreness at the insertion sites.
5. How many acupuncture sessions do I need?It varies from one to eight sessions and depends on the individual condition and response.
6. Are there any preparations I need to do before my acupuncture session?Try to have your breakfast or lunch one to few hours before acupuncture session.
7. What should I expect during my first acupuncture visit?We will collect details of your condition, may appropriate examinations, discuss the treatment plan with you and provide acupuncture treatment.

9. Do Chinese herbs have side effects?Some minor adverse action such as nausea or bitter taste may occur occasionally after taking the Chinese herbs.
10. Is it safe for kids to take Chinese herbal medicines?It is safe for children to take Chinese herbal medicines if the medicines are prescribed by competent, qualified and registered Chinese herbal medicine practitioners.
11. How long does it take for a Chinese herbal medicine to take effect?It depends on the individual condition and response.
12. Is it safe for a pregnant woman to take Chinese herbs?It is safe for a pregnant woman to take Chinese herbal medicines for some conditions such as morning sickness or threatened miscarriage.
13. Are you a registered practitioner of Chinese herbal medicine?Yes, I am registered Chinese medicine practitioner on the divisions of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. My AHPRA registration number is CMA0001738861.
14. Do you clean the cups and needles that you use?Only disposal (single use) needles are used. The cups are well clean in compliant with the infection control guidelines issued by the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia.
15. How long does an acupuncture session take? How about cupping?
30-45 minutes for initial consultation and treatment. 30 minutes for following up visit.
16. How deep are the needles inserted to the body?It varies from 1mm on the scalp to 60mm deep on the buttock.

18. What modes of payment do you accept?We accept any cards, cheques or cash. We also have HICAPS facility that you can claim your private health fund in acupuncture or remedial massage session on the spot. 19. Can I claim your services through my private health insurance with extra covers?Yes, I have provider numbers for all private health insurances except HCF. 21. Do you treat WorkSafe or TAC clients?Yes, the WorkSafe agent or TAC will subsidise fees for acupuncture or remedial massage treatments if you have been approved by them.
